COLLIN D. DICKEY

COLLIN D. DICKEY is the owner and lead attorney at The Dickey Law Firm. Mr. Dickey focuses his practice on estate planning, asset protection planning, elder law and trust administration. He has significant experience in wealth planning and assisting clients with mitigation strategies and is well-versed in handling legal inquiries involving the IRS and the State of Michigan.

Mr. Dickey takes pride in developing strong advisory relationships with his clients. He places the utmost importance on open communication with clients in order to build positive attorney-client rapport. 

After completing his legal education, Mr. Dickey worked as a Judicial Law Clerk in the 6th Circuit Court of Oakland County for the Honorable Karen D. McDonald, where he gained valuable exposure to a wide variety of legal issues, including family law. Seeing families in need bore his love for estate planning and he has never looked back. His compassion, empathy, understanding and wealth of knowledge are what set him apart from other attorneys in his field.

Mr. Dickey is also a sought-after speaker at various events throughout Metro Detroit, where he educates the public on estate planning tools and strategies. Mr. Dickey’s speaking engagements include discussions at assisted living facilities, public educational workshops, and various Chamber of Commerce and networking events. Outside of his legal work, he is a husband and father of three boys. He is an avid golfer, skier, fisherman and has a passion for food and world travel. He also enjoys coaching his boys and continues to play ice hockey on the weekends.

Ashley S. DICKEY is of counsel to The Dickey Law Firm. Mrs. Dickey's practice focuses on the area of probate, including guardianships and conservatorships. 

Following an exciting and busy litigation career, she decided to pursue a career focused on helping clients with protecting what matters most - family. She assists clients in planning their affairs and counsels families after loss in order to ensure their objectives are achieved with minimal stress.  Ashley brings compassion, patience, and understanding to what each client is enduring and cares deeply for her clients. Clients should not hesitate to seek her guidance after the loss of a family member.

After completing her legal education, Mrs. Dickey worked as a defense attorney at national law firms litigating personal injury and general liability cases. She is recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers (2018- present) and she was named a Top Woman Attorney by Hour Detroit (2020). She is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association, and Women's Bar Association (Oakland Region). 

Outside of her legal work, she is a wife and mother of three boys, so she understands the importance of taking care of family.  She is also a member of the Entertainment Planning Committee at Pine Lake Country Club, Co-President of the Quarton Lake Neighborhood Social Club, and she enjoys playing golf, pickleball, traveling, cooking and interior decorating/design.
